Grilled Garlic Butter Prawns |
We had another BBQ evening last day before Ramadan 2014. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslim 'Selamat Berpuasa' and a blessed Ramadan. Anyway, it was a seafood BBQ. We had a very simple dish called
Grilled Garlic Butter Prawn. When having a seafood BBQ, Garlic Butter Prawn will always on my list. The reason why, it is simple, easy and tasty. Things that you need for this recipe are butter, garlic, salt and prawns.

I am from Melaka, and over here grilled seafood usually served with Nasi Lemak (Coconut Rice). Sound wired, but I like it. However, my wife still prefer to eat with plain rice. Anyway, she has prepared a very delicious Nasi Lemak for the evening. Click

She has also prepared sauce/dip for this. We call it '
Air Asam Cili Kicap". It was a perfect combination. However, without the sauce, the Garlic Butter Prawns can still be a winner. Please find below the recipes for you to follow:
Grilled Garlic Butter Prawns
Ingredients:
½ kg fresh sea prawns
6 cloves of garlic (grind)
2 tablespoons of butter
Salt and sugar
How to:
Marinate prawns with all the ingredients above and put aside for 15 minutes to half an hour. Then put on grill until the prawns color turn red. Don't grill to long because this will make the prawn less sweet.
Air Asam Cili Kicap
Ingredients:
Light Soy Sauce
2 red chili*
2 birdeye chili*
3 shallots*
2 calamansi
How to:
Finely chopped all the asterisk ingredients and put into a small bowl. Add light soy sauce (3-4 tablespoons) and finally squeeze in the calamansi.
